Symptoms

 虛擬機器 （VM） 映像層級備份工作無法啟動，因為 TimeOut-Start 錯。

Cause

  • 現有的代理不足以為所有受保護的 VM 映像備份提供服務，這些備份是在備份視窗時間範圍內排定的工作。
  • 在備份視窗時間範圍內，Avamar 會嘗試尋找閒置的代理例項，以挑選等待的佇列 VM 備份工作。但如果找不到可用的代理，則會將該 VM 映像備份標記為失敗，並顯示 Timeout-Start。

Resolution

  • 為客戶提供以下等式，以計算與現有受保護虛擬機器數量相對應的所需代理數量：
    （（# 虛擬機器） *（完成 VM 映像備份的平均時間））/（備份時段） = 需要 #VM 個代理
  • 隨附一個 Excel 檔案，內含上述範例。
