Symptoms

iDRAC event PSU0917 occurs and YELLOW alarm VXR508PSU0917 presents in vCenter portal.

Cause

The server is unable to communicate with the Power Supply Unit (PSU) identified in the message. The PSU is supplying power to the server.

Resolution

Do the following and retry the operation:

  1. Power down the server.
  2. Remove the PSU and reinstall.
  3. Reset the server by running RACADM command at the command line interface(CLI): racadm racreset
