Brocade FOS 使用簡單郵件傳輸通訊協定 （SMTP） 將交換器上排隊的電子郵件傳輸到設定的郵件中繼。
不同的郵件中繼在接受電子郵件方面有不同的政策。瞭解 FOS 發送的內容有助於瞭解郵件中繼可能拒絕某些郵件的原因。
1.SMTP EHCO 命令可用來識別傳送電子郵件的主機 （交換器），FOS 會填入以下資訊：
<開關名稱>。<網域名稱>
其中 <「交換器名稱> 」是設定的交換器名稱 而 <網域名稱> 則是 dnsconfig 在交換器上設定的網域名稱
2.SMTP MAIL 命令可識別郵件的來源。在 v8.2.x 之前的 FOS 版本填入資訊為：
。 root@<開關名稱>。<網域名稱>
3.在 FOS v8.2x 中，SMTP MAIL 命令會將訊息來源識別為：
postmaster@<開關名稱>。<網域名稱>
4.SMTP RCPT 命令可識別收件者。FOS 會填入在 MAPS 中設定的電子郵件收件者，其格式如下：
user@fully_qualified_domain_name
