Symptoms

NetWorker Module for Databases and Applications (NMDA) Domino LOTUS backups fail with the following error:

"91054 nsrdasv : Failed to initialize domino session '272'. Please check configuration and try again"

Cause

The user account that is logged in for Domino service is a special user account other than "local system admin," e.g:
Domino Server Service Logon properties 

Resolution

  1. Add the account user to "Remote user" on the NMC client instance for Lotus. This ensures that NetWorker is aware of the authentication that is used at Domino services.
    Client properties remote user field 
  2. Run the backup again.
