PowerFlex Manager: 14G SO 節點閒置設定會在服務升級後回復為預設值

Symptoms

  • 當 SO 節點空閒以節省電源時，預設設置會使 CPU 處於睡眠狀態。在這種狀態下，當我們發出 IO 時，喚醒 CPU 需要時間，並會影響 IO 的回應時間。因此，客戶可能希望防止 CPU 進入睡眠狀態。
  • 這可以通過將 grub 設定更改為 processor.max_cstate=1 intel_idle.max_cstate=0 intel_pstate=disable 來完成
  • 這可確保 CPU 不會進入睡眠狀態，進而提高效能。
  • 每當執行服務升級時，這些設置都會恢復為預設值。

 

Cause

PowerFlex Manager 目前僅支援預設設定。

 

Resolution

  1. 開啟 GRUB 樣本進行編輯：

    vim /etc/default/grub

  2. 尋找 GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX 組態選項，並將下列內容附加至該行：

    processor.max_cstate=1 intel_idle.max_cstate=0 intel_pstate=disable

    範例：

    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="crashkernel=auto rd.lvm.lv=rhel/root rd.lvm.lv=rhel/swap rhgb processor.max_cstate=1 intel_idle.max_cstate=0 intel_pstate=disable"

  3. 編譯新的 GRUB：請參閱作業系統說明文件。您可以嘗試搜尋 grub.cfg 以取得位置。

    IF EFI （將 os> 更換<為 redhat 或 centos）

    grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/<os>/grub.cfg

    IF BIOS

  4. 停止然後關閉調整的：

    systemctl stop tuned
systemctl disable tuned

  5. 讓主機進入 Powerflex 維護模式 （IMM 或 PMM）。如果這是主要 MDM，請切換至另一個 MDM

  6. 重新啟動

  7. 主機啟動後，請檢查設定是否已成功套用

    # cat /proc/cmdline

  8. 在 IMM 或 PMM 之外編輯主機

  9. 對其他僅儲存節點繼續相同的程序。
