Event Message:  Unable to communicate with the cloud provider metadata server.
Additional Information: Cause=Network configuration

Event Description:

 This virtual DD system is not able to connect with the metadata server of the cloud provider. 
 Prolonged loss of connectivity with the metadata server will cause the filesystem to go down.

Recommended Action:

 Check the network configuration of the system and confirm that the primary network interface 
 and DHCP service are active. 
 Also, validate that there are no firewall rules that may be blocking access to the 
 metadata server.

GCP와 같은 클라우드 공급업체(그러나 잠재적으로 다른 공급업체에도 적용 가능)는 활성 계층 데이터를 위해 클라우드 스토리지와 연결된 "메타데이터 서버"를 투명하게 사용할 수 있습니다. 이 메타데이터 서버에 오랫동안 액세스할 수 없는 경우 안전을 위해 DDVE 파일 시스템이 비활성화되어 있을 수 있습니다.

DDVE DNS 또는 인터페이스(DHCP) 설정이 변경되어 DDVE 파일 시스템이 더 이상 메타데이터 서버에 연결되지 않을 수 있습니다.

클라우드 스토리지 통신의 이전 문제로 인해 데이터 스토리지를 사용할 수 없는 경우 메타데이터 서버에 대한 액세스 실패를 유발하는 문제를 해결합니다. "filesys enable" 시도가 실패합니다.

GCP(Google Cloud Platform)

예를 들어 GCP(Google Cloud Platform)의 경우 메타데이터 서버는 (내부) IP가 169.254.169.254인 호스트 이름 "metadata.google.internal"입니다. GCP의 모든 VM은 DHCP를 통해 하나 이상의 인터페이스가 구성된 경우 메타데이터 서버를 확인하고 연결하는 방법을 알고 있습니다. 예를 들어, DDVE가 이러한 방식으로 구성되고 나중에 인터페이스에 정적 IP(DHCP 아님)가 지정된 경우. DDVE가 메타데이터 서버 IP 주소를 확인할 수 없습니다. GCP 메타데이터 서버용 DDVE의 IP 호스트 매핑에 정적 이름을 추가하여 조건을 해결하십시오.

Microsoft Azure

IMDS(Instance Metadata Service) 요청은 VM의 기본 NIC 및 기본 IP를 사용하여 전송해야 합니다. 인터페이스 ethV0은 메타데이터 서버 통신에 사용해야 합니다.
