Data Domain: File System Cleaning Schedule Error on New DD-Registry Key <x> does Not Exist

Symptoms

The following error may appear when the filesys clean show schedule command is run on newly installed Data Domain:

Registry key collection.1.expunge.next.schedule.time doesn't exist.

Cause

The root cause of this is unknown.

This error does prevent the cleaning schedule from being set correctly.

Resolution

To address this issue, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to the Data Domain.

2. Run the following command to reset the file system cleaning configuration:

 filesys clean reset schedule
 

3. Verify the Cleaning Schedule by running the following command:

filesys clean show schedule

Review the output and verify that the configuration has been updated with the appropriate value.
