Symptoms
客戶可下載 Linux 平台的 DUP 檔案 （.bin） 以更新元件，例如 BIOS、驅動程式、CPLD 和 iDRAC
但是，如果系統的 glibc （GNU C 庫） 低於較新的 DUP 軟體包所需的版本，則更新可能會失敗，如圖 [1] 所示，表示 BIOS 更新失敗。

這是 14G 和 15G 平台上的跨平台問題，是由 glibc 版本較新的 DUP 要求所造成。
Cause
基於安全性考量，較新的 Dell DUP 架構需要 glibc 2.28 版或更高版本。
如果 glibc 版本低於 2.28，則 Dell 支援的 Linux 版本不符合 DELL DUP 架構的此需求。
列於 Dell 14G 和 15G 系統支援矩陣中的下列 Linux 作業系統會受到影響。
由於與 glibc 版本不相容，這些作業系統版本可能會遇到更新失敗。
- SLES 12
- SLES15 SP1
- SLES15 SP2
- RHEL 7.x
- Ubuntu 18.04
客戶還可以使用本機 Linux 命令 ldd 來檢查 glibc 版本，如圖 [2] 所示。

Resolution
- 透過 iDRAC 使用者介面使用 Dell Update 套件 （DUP） 更新元件，有助於避免 Linux 作業系統上 glibc 版本相關的相容性問題。
- 建議升級到支援 glibc 2.28 或更高版本的較新 Linux 作業系統版本，以確保在 14G 和 15G 平臺上成功更新。
