NMDA: Oracle Restore Failed: NSR Recover Resource Error

Symptoms
Error Message:
<Client-Name> nsrdarc NSR error 53 Unable to query the 'NSR recover' resource with the name 'XYZ' <Cient-Name> nsrdarc NSR error The recovery command '/usr/bin/nsrdarc -a -s <NSR-Server> -c <Client-Name> -T oracle -g <XYZ> - No Catalog' failed.
Cause
This issue may be caused due to incorrect client resource configuration. Also, required accounts used for recovery must be member of the Database Operator & Administrator group.
Resolution
- Log in to the NetWorker Management Console (NMC).
- From Protection -> Clients. Open the oracle database client's properties. Verify that the Alias list is correctly updated in Global 1 of 2 client records.
- From the client's properties, ensure that the Remote Access field is populated with the appropriate system access method using the following syntax: user@host (The user can be root.)
- In the Server -> User Groups window, confirm that the same user access information is configured in both the Database Operators and Application Administrator groups.
- Retry the restore operation.
