Symptoms

The PowerStore pre-upgrade health check (PUHC) may fail if it detects the data connection to a remote system is in a Partial_Node_Connection_Loss state with the following error: 

Remote system data connection state is Partial_Node_Connection_Loss, which will cause NDU failure during upgrade to 4.4.x. KB#000472474. Please contact your service provider. (off_release_data_connection_state_check).

This message may be detected when running the PUHC.

Impact

During a Non-Disruptive Upgrade (NDU) to 4.4.x from any pre-4.4 releases, if the remote system data connection state is set to Partial_Node_Connection_Loss, the upgrade fails during the post-upgrade database (DB) migration phase

Cause

Check connectivity between the PowerStore appliance and its replication partners.  

Resolution

Contact Dell Technical support for assistance if assistance is required to address the issue.
