PowerScale OneFS 8.0 and later: Clusters are Discovered as Fraunhofer FOKUS Not Dell

Symptoms

In OneFS 8.0 and later, a cluster is discovered with an Object Identifier (OID) of 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325 (Fraunhofer FOKUS) instead of 1.3.6.1.4.1.12124 (Dell)

Cause

In OneFS 8.0 and later, the default snmpd.conf references Fraunhofer FOKUS OID at the line:

sysObjectId  = 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1.2.1.$(system)

Resolution

  1. Edit: /etc/snmpd.config 
Replace line:
sysObjectId  = 1.3.6.1.4.1.12325.1.1.2.1.$(system)
With:
sysObjectId  = 1.3.6.1.4.1.12124.1.1.2.1.$(system)
  1. Restart bsnmp:
# kill $(pgrep bsnmpd)
