Symptoms

El usuario intenta ejecutar los siguientes comandos, pero el servicio no se inicia.

service-control --start --all

service-control --start vmware-updatemgr

vmware-updatemgr

Cause

vmware-updatemgr aún contenía información obsoleta del certificado SSL de la máquina de vCenter, lo que causaba el problema de incompatibilidad.

Resolution

  1. Revise el registro de vum: /var/log/vmware/vmware-updatemgr/vum-server/vmware-vum-server.log
  2. Verifique si el registro muestra el siguiente mensaje de error:

  3.   4. Para vCenter 7.0.x o versiones posteriores:
    cd /usr/lib/vmware-updatemgr/bin/ 
    Ejecute el script de python:
  5. refreshCerts-utility.pyCaptura de pantalla que muestra la actualización del script de Python
  6. Inicio vmware-updatemgr del servidor NMC: 
# service-control --start vmware-updatemgr
