Symptoms

O usuário tenta executar os seguintes comandos, o serviço não inicia.

service-control --start --all

service-control --start vmware-updatemgr

vmware-updatemgr

Cause

vmware-updatemgr ainda continha informações obsoletas do certificado SSL da máquina do vCenter, o que causou o problema de disparidade.

Resolution

  1. Analise o log do um: /var/log/vmware/vmware-updatemgr/vum-server/vmware-vum-server.log
  2. Verifique se o log mostra a seguinte mensagem de erro:

  3. Atualize as informações do certificado de acordo com o artigo da VMware A substituição de certificados do vCenter Server falha quando o serviço VMware vCenter Update Manager está ativado (2150895)Esse hiperlink direcionará você para um site fora da Dell Technologies., faça um snapshot do vCenter antes de atualizar o certificado. 
  4. Para vCenter 7.0.x ou posterior:
    cd /usr/lib/vmware-updatemgr/bin/ 
    Execute o script python:
  5. refreshCerts-utility.pyCaptura de tela mostrando a atualização de script Python
  6. Iniciar vmware-updatemgr do servidor do NMC: 
# service-control --start vmware-updatemgr
