Symptoms

Severity: Critical (Red)
iDRAC event CPU9004 occurs and a Red alarm 'VXR500CPU9004' presents in vCenter portal.

Cause

An issue is detected because CPUs are incorrectly installed in the sockets.

Resolution

Do the following and retry the operation:

  1. Power off the server and disconnect the input power. 
  2. Make sure the CPU is correctly installed if the processor is removable. 
  3. Connect the input power and power on the server. 
  4. If the issue persists, Contact Technical Support.
