NetWorker: SAP Oracle database restore may fail with file system space error

Symptoms

SAP database restore fails with the error below.

BR0360W Not enough disk space in /oracle/SID/sapdata1 for restore
backint SYSTEM critical Cannot write to file 'data_file_name': There is not enough space in the file system.

Cause

At the time of backup, the group_by_fs is set to false (default setting). This allows backint to backup datafile grouping them based on file sizes.

Resolution

Perform restore by setting the following variable in the initSID.utl file:

NMSAP:
GROUP_BY_FS=TRUE

DDBEA SAP ORACLE:
group_by_fs=TRUE
