Symptome
Affected Products:
- Dell Encryption
- Dell Data Protection | Encryption
Affected Versions:
- v10.7.0 and Later
Ursache
Versions before 10.7.0 contain a driver that is called the cmgfve.inf, previously used to manage the Dell Data Protection | Hardware-Cryptographic Accelerator. This driver is no longer required, and improperly removing this driver may result in an operating system failure. Upgrades to older versions that may contain this driver are being blocked to allow for a guided transition, to avoid these operating system failures.
A message is displayed, when attempting to update from version 8.16.0 and earlier stating:

Lösung
If this error message is seen, upgrade Dell Encryption to version 8.17.0 or later before updating to version 10.7.0.
