PowerEdge: Come ridestinare o ritirare un sistema utilizzando LifeCycle Controller

Questi sono i passaggi da seguire per dismettere o ridestinare il sistema:

  1. Durante il POST, premere F10 per accedere al menu Lifecycle Controller.
  2. Nel riquadro sinistro, cliccare su Hardware Configuration, quindi su Repurpose o Retire System.

  3. Nella pagina "Select Components", selezionare le funzioni e i componenti da eliminare da "Server Features" e "Storage Components".

  4. Cliccare su Next (Avanti). Viene visualizzato un riepilogo delle funzioni e dei componenti selezionati per l'eliminazione.
  5. Leggere le informazioni sulla pagina "Summary" e cliccare su Finish.

Al momento, iDRAC 10 su server di 17a generazione non include l'opzione "Ridestinazione o ritiro del sistema" nella LCC.

Il modo alternativo e più vicino per consentire al server 17G di eseguire una ridestinazione è l'utilizzo del comando systemerase,il comando consente di cancellare i componenti per rimuovere il server dall'uso.

Il comando può essere utilizzato per uno o più componenti specifici.

  • Per cancellare un componente specifico 
    racadm systemerase <component>
  • Per cancellare più componenti 
    racadm systemerase <component>,<component>,<component>


I tipi di componenti validi sono:

  • bios - Per ripristinare le impostazioni predefinite del BIOS.
  • diag - Per cancellare la diagnostica incorporata.
  • drvpack - mdash; Per cancellare il pacchetto di driver del sistema operativo integrato.
  • dpu - Cancellare tutte le configurazioni utente dalle DPU supportate.
  • idrac - Per ripristinare le impostazioni predefinite di iDRAC.
  • lcdata - Per cancellare i dati di Lifecycle Controller.
  • allaps - Per ripristinare tutte le app.
  • cryptographicerasepd - Per cancellare il disco rigido. Supporta unità SED, NVMe e schede PCIe
  • overwritepd - Per sovrascrivere il disco rigido. Supporta le unità SAS e SATA percnvcache: per cancellare la cache NV.
  • reinstallfw - Per reinstallare la stessa versione del firmware rilevata per i dispositivi supportati.
  • Nvdimm: per cancellare tutta la Non-VolatileMemory.
