Symptome

SQL DB restore from the NetWorker Module for Microsoft (NMM) SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) plugin is not able to perform a restore to a new DB.

Ursache

SSMS UI reset is causing the issue.

 

Lösung

This issue is addressed in NetWorker 19.10.0.4 and later. Upgrade the NetWorker client and NMM package to 19.10.0.4 or later.

Workaround:

  1. Select the Database version to restore.

  2. Now enter the new Database name, Under Destination, select "Restore to SQL Server" and then select Instance and under Database enter "DBname_new"

    Note: After step2 do not select again Database version

  3. Click Run to restore the database with the new database name.

  4. Verify that the Database is restored with the new database name.

Also, a command-line restore can be done as workaround.
