PowerFlex 4.x: L'installazione di fluxtoolkit non riesce

Symptome

Un appliance PowerFlex 16G con l'immagine RHEL del cliente per i nodi MVM (PFMP) - RHEL 8.10.

 

L'installazione PFMP ha esito negativo nella seconda fase al 74%.

bedrock.log mostra il seguente errore:

fatal: [host1]: FAILED! => changed=false
 assertion: ansible_failed_task is ot defined and ansible_failed_result is not defined
 evaluated_to: false
 msg: |2-
       The failed task in the block: "Install fluxtoolkit via helmrelease"
       The reason for failure is: "Error: INSTALLATION FAILED: failed to download "plafform/flux-toolkit" at version "v0.21.2-29.5bac9c54""

Impatto 

Impossibile implementare PFMP.

Ursache

CMO richiede UMASK 022 per la corretta configurazione dei grafici Helm. UMASK 027 fornisce al root autorizzazioni rwx, al gruppo autorizzazioni r-x e nessuna autorizzazione per gli altri.

Lösung

Modificare i valori UMASK su tutti e tre i nodi MVM (PFMP). PowerFlex: come modificare i valori umask sugli host PFMP per l'autorizzazione predefinita

Per modificare UMASK in 0022:

  1. Aggiornare il valore UMASK 
vi /etc/login.defs
   Update the line UMASK 027 ---> UMASK 022
   save it.
  1. Caricare la configurazione:
source /etc/profile
  1. Uscire dalla shell ed effettuare nuovamente l'accesso

Viene aggiornata la configurazione più recente. #Collaudo: Se si crea un nuovo file, questo viene creato con 644 autorizzazioni.
 

Dopo la modifica dei valori:

  • Reimpostare il programma di installazione PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/reset_installer.sh
  • Configurare il programma di installazione PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/setup_installer.sh
  • Avviare l'installazione PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/install_PFMP.sh


Le Note di rilascio di Dell PowerFlex 4.6.x indicano quanto segue (pag. 18):

Symptom: The PowerFlex management platform installation process requires that the umask be set to the Linux default (022). If you have changed the default umask setting, the helm images do not have the correct permissions when it comes time to pull the images.
 
Recommended action: Change umask to 022.
