How to install and activate your SIM card

 

Installing the SIM

  1. Insert a pin, SIM card tool, or straightened paper clip into the hole at the left of the SIM card tray. It is on the right-hand side of the computer [1].

  2. Push it in until the card slot pops out [2].

  3. Slide the tray out of the computer [3].

  4. Fit the SIM card into the cut-out in the card tray.

  5. Push the tray back into the slot until it clicks in place.

Note: The microSIM card slot is an optional part on the Latitude 5400 Chromebook and needs to be ordered at the point of purchase. If you do not order it, it is not included in your computers build.

microSIM Installation

  1. Insert a pin, SIM card tool, or straightened paper clip into the hole at the left of the microSIM card tray. It is on the right-hand side of the computer [1].

  2. Push it in until the card slot pops out [2].

  3. Slide the tray out of the computer [3].

  4. Fit the microSIM card into the cut-out in the card tray.

Note: To activate your mobile broadband service, contact the service provider with the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) and the Integrated Circuit Card Identifier (ICCID).
 
  1. Activate your mobile broadband service:

    1. Locate your IMEI and ICCID by clicking the Time at the bottom right of the screen and click on the wireless drop-down menu:
