This article applies to This article does not apply to This article is not tied to any specific product. Not all product versions are identified in this article.

Symptoms

In UEFI boot mode, when there is critical error in the PERC9, the system BIOS prompts to press any key to load the Driver Health Manager (DHM) where the user can follow the instructions to correct the error. The driver health manager indicates that the PERC configuration utility will be launched after DHM exit, but the configuration utility never launches.

Cause

This is a known issue where the DHM does not successfully hand off to the PERC Configuration Utility in UEFI boot mode.

Resolution

The workaround is to launch the PERC Configuration Utility from inside System Setup instead of Driver Health Manager to fix the error.

When the issue happens, please reboot the system, and press F2 at the moment when the hot keys are displayed on the screen. This ensures to go into the System Setup-> Device Settings-> PERC Configuration Utility menu after the Driver Health Manager.
