Symptoms



With PowerPath V/E 6.4 or PowerPath V/E 6.3 installed, below messages observed in vmkernel.log

Cause

This issue is because of the long host names- Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN) that customer is using.

Resolution

None. Fix for this long host name issue will be available in next PP/VE major release (6.5). This won't lead to any impact of PowerPath Failover or IO load balancing features.
