How to Import Dell Trusted Device Results into Absolute Using Custom Device Fields

Steps to create a Custom Device Field (CDF)

  1. Go to Settings > Custom fields > Manage device fields
    Go to Manage device fields
  2. Click Create Custom Device Field
    Click Create Customer Device Field
  3. Input the Custom Device Field labels listed below. Verify that Text is selected. Repeat for all remaining fields.

    DtdSelDriverIsRunning

  4. Once complete, the labels appear in the Custom Device Fields category.

Steps to use Dell Get-TrustedDeviceResults script

These steps are used to inspect the Dell Trusted Device installation and components. It returns a selected subset of data to the Absolute Console through CDF.

Run the Dell Trusted Device Import script:

  1. Go to Devices.
    Go to Devices
  2. Search or Filter for the Windows devices that you want to run the script on.
  3. Select the devices and click Run Script…
    Click Run script...
  4. Type Dell Trusted Device Import in the search field and the script appears as a result.

  5. Select the Dell Trusted Device Import script to proceed.
  6. Verify that Rights has Run with system account rights as the configured setting. This is the default setting.

  7. Click Run on X devices on the bottom right corner to start the script. Over time, the results will appear.
