Avamar: Het wachtwoord wijzigen op een NDMP Accelerator-knooppunt

Symptoms

Gebruik standaard Linux/UNIX-procedures om wachtwoorden te wijzigen op NDMP-versnellers.

Beveiligingsscanners kunnen de wachtwoorden op de Avamar NDMP-versneller identificeren als wachtwoorden die moeten worden gewijzigd.
Een goede beveiligingsprocedure raadt aan om het root-wachtwoord regelmatig te wijzigen.

Cause

Het root-wachtwoord moet worden gewijzigd.
 

Resolution

Er zijn twee opties om het admin- of rootwachtwoord in het Avamar NDMP-knooppunt te wijzigen.

  1. Als het versnellerknooppunt wordt gevonden in het probe.xml bestand van de Avamar-server, volgt u de standaardmethode voor het wijzigen van wachtwoorden op een Avamar-server. Zie de sectie 'change-passwords' in de Avamar Administrator Guide.
  2. Als het versnellerknooppunt niet wordt gevonden in het probe.xml bestand van de Avamar-server, kan de standaardopdracht Linux/UNIX passwd worden gebruikt.

NOTE:
It is a good idea to have a second putty session to the Avamar NDMP accelerator
logged in as root.

Attempt to login to root on the terminal you changed the password on.  NOT on the second putty session to the NDMP accelerator.  If the new password works, you are done.
If it fails, you have the second putty session open with root user so you can change the password for root again.  Don't use this terminal to test your login.

Additional Information

Als u wilt controleren of het versnellerknooppunt wordt gevonden in het Avamar Server Probe File, voert u op het hulpprogrammaknooppunt de opdracht uit "nodedb print".

In het volgende voorbeeld ziet u een server met één knooppunt zonder versnellerknooppunt in probe.xml:
