Symptoms

Используйте стандартные процедуры Linux/UNIX для изменения паролей на ускорителях NDMP.

Сканеры безопасности могут определить, что пароли на ускорителе NDMP Avamar нуждаются в изменении.
Хорошая процедура безопасности предполагает периодическую смену пароля root.

Cause

Пароль пользователя root должен быть изменен.
 

Resolution

Чтобы изменить пароль администратора или пользователя root в узле NDMP Avamar, выполните два действия.

  1. Если узел ускорителя найден в файле probe.xml сервера Avamar, следуйте стандартному методу изменения паролей на сервере Avamar. См. раздел «Изменение паролей» в руководстве администратора Avamar.
  2. Если узел ускорителя не найден в файле probe.xml сервера Avamar, можно использовать стандартную команду Linux/UNIX passwd. 
root@accelerator:~/#: /usr/local/avamar/bin/passwd root

NOTE:
It is a good idea to have a second putty session to the Avamar NDMP accelerator
logged in as root.

Attempt to login to root on the terminal you changed the password on.  NOT on the second putty session to the NDMP accelerator.  If the new password works, you are done.
If it fails, you have the second putty session open with root user so you can change the password for root again.  Don't use this terminal to test your login.

Чтобы проверить, найден ли узел ускорителя в файле пробы сервера Avamar, на служебном узле выполните "nodedb print".
