Symptoms
- Storage network mapping operations fail with error 0xE0EFF0A00007.
- ONV (Ongoing Network Validation) deployment exceeds 120 seconds during CP startup and becomes permanently stuck in a "deploying" state.
- Issue may persist across multiple CP restarts.
Cause
The ONV component fails to complete initialization during CP startup due to a stale network socket connection between cluster nodes. This blocks all storage network mapping and related provisioning operations.
Resolution
Recommended Action: Upgrade to PowerStore OS 5.0 or later to permanently resolve this issue.
Workaround (if upgrade is not immediately available)
Option 1 — Preferred:
- Restart
cyc_neton both nodes in the cluster. - This forces a clean reconnect and resolves the stale connection.
- No CP restart is required.
Option 2 — If CP is stuck in a restart loop:
- Stop the Control Path (CP) service.
- Restart
cyc_neton both nodes. - Start the Control Path (CP) service again.
NOTE: If the issue persists after applying the workaround, contact Dell Technical Support with service data and diagnostic logs for further assistance.
