Video Flickers under Artificial Lighting

 

When viewing the video feed from the webcam in the Dell Peripheral Manager (DPM) application, the video is seen to flicker.

Cause

Artificial sources of direct and indirect fluorescent and LCD lighting can sometimes cause the video to flicker.

Resolution

There are a couple of different ways you can resolve this:

  1. Open the DPM application:

    • Under Color and Image, use the checkbox next to Anti-Flicker to enable that feature.

    • Turn off High Dynamic Range (HDR).
