Symptoms
The webcam surface temperature may seem warm during use
Note: The maximum temperatures only occur when the camera is recording.

Cause
The running temperature of the webcam is from 40°c to 42°c. (104℉ to 110℉)
The webcam may seem warm to the touch, but it is not hot to the touch. It is well within approved safety standards and is safe to use.
Resolution
Depending on your sensitivity to temperature shifts, the webcam may seem warm or hot. However, the webcam’s operating temperature is well within approved safety standards.
If you are uncomfortable using the webcam, you can:
-
Turn the webcam off.
-
Disconnect the webcam from the host laptop, desktop, or monitor.
-
Let the webcam cool down.
-
Plug the webcam back and check it again.
As this is the standard running temperature, replacing with another WB7022 webcam makes no difference as they all have the same running temperature range.
