Alienware Gaming Keyboard AW920K Not Detected in Alienware Command Center, or the Lighting Does Not Work

Symptoms
User of the Alienware Gaming Keyboard AW920K may report the following issues:
- They may not see the keyboard detected in Alienware Command Center (AWCC).
- They may notice that the lighting behavior is not how it is configured in AWCC. It is randomly changing RGB lighting or not lighting up at all.

Cause
If the keyboard is not detected in AWCC, it may have gone to sleep.
Resolution
If the keyboard is not detected in AWCC, tap any key on the keyboard to wake it up. If the issue persists, and the lighting does not work correctly, check if the latest firmware version (0051 or later) and the AWCC version (5.5.51) is installed.
To check the AWCC version, go to Settings, Apps, Apps & features. Check if the version is 5.5.51 or later.

If the latest AWCC is not installed, go to AW920K Drivers & Downloads page, and install the latest Alienware Command Center Application.
If the latest firmware version (0051 or later) is not installed, follow one of the steps below to update the latest firmware.
- Update from Dell Support Website.
- Go to AW920K Drivers & Downloads page, and install the latest firmware for keyboard and dongle (version 0051 or later).
- Update from AWCC update notification.
- Launch AWCC and find the UPDATE notification. Follow the on-screen instructions.

- Launch AWCC and find the UPDATE notification. Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Update from AWCC FX tab.
- Launch AWCC and go to FX tab.

- Go to Settings and select AW920K Wireless Gaming Keyboard.

- Click Update.

- Launch AWCC and go to FX tab.
