Dell is discontinuing these applications as part of our product life cycle management, making way for improved solutions.
Dell is committed to supporting its latest technologies and applications, ensuring that users are provided with the latest features and security patches available.
Those who use Alienware Update and Dell Update after the End-of-Life date no longer receives updates and may experience security vulnerabilities and performance issues.

Cause
Uninstalling these applications and replacing them with new solutions ensures best system performance and security.
Resolution
Dell Technologies recommends installing SupportAssist, a more advanced, and comprehensive solution for system updates and maintenance.
To ensure a seamless transition to the new solution, SupportAssist automatically detects and silently removes Dell Update and Alienware Update from systems running SupportAssist.
