Symptoms

Changing the RGB values in the ALIENFX tab in AWCC version 6.10.15.0 obscures the inputted value:

Version 6.10.15.0 with obscured RGB value

Version 6.9.15.0 with visible RGB value

Affected Platforms:

  • Alienware 16 Aurora AC16250
  • Alienware 16X Aurora AC16251
  • Alienware 16 Area-51 AA16250
  • Alienware 18 Area-51 AA18250

Affected Versions:

  • Alienware Command Center (Version 6.10.15.0)

Cause

This is an issue with this version of AWCC.

Note: This issue only occurs with AWCC version 6.10.15.0.

Resolution

The engineering department is working on a fix to be released in AWCC version 6.12.x and later. The updated application is to be posted to the laptop's support page once it is made available. AWCC version 6.12.x is expected to be released in March 2026.

Dell Engineering is aware of the issue and is working towards a resolution. This article is to be updated once more details are known.

Workaround:

The RGB value is visible when using the up and down buttons to adjust the value:
