Symptoms

Dell Display and Peripheral Manager versions 2.2.0.19 and earlier may experience audio issues with affected Dell monitors.

There are two scenarios that may be encountered:

  • Scenario 1: When playing audio or video through the monitor speakers, the monitor on-screen display (OSD) volume may automatically increase to 100%.
  • Scenario 2: When audio is playing through the monitor speakers and the monitor OSD times out at the same time, the audio may unexpectedly be muted.

Affected Monitors:

  • Dell 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED Monitor S3225QC
  • Dell Pro 24 Conferencing Monitor E2426HB
  • Dell UltraSharp 32 4K QD-OLED Monitor U3226Q
  • Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor U5226KW

Affected Software:

  • Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (versions 2.1.2.13 and earlier)

Affected Operating Systems:

  • Windows 11

Note: Before starting the update, perform the following:
  • Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery.
  • Connect the AC adapter if updates are being run on a laptop.
  • Ensure that power remains connected if updates are being run on a desktop.
