VxRail: How to collect the VxRail Manager log bundle on VxRail 4.7.x, 7.x and 8.x

Instructions
How to collect VxRail Manager logs using vCenter UI on VxRail 4.7.x and 7.x code releases:
- Log in to vCenter using administrator account.
- Select the target VxRail cluster.
- Move to Configure and select the VxRail plug-in section.
- Choose the Troubleshooting subsection.
- Click Create.
- Select VxRail Manager.
NOTE: If hardware and or platform logs are also required, tick accordingly.
- Click Generate.
- Once the log is generated, the button Download becomes available and should be used for downloading locally.
How to collect VxRail Manager logs using vCenter UI on VxRail 8.x code releases:
- Log in to vCenter using administrator account.
- Select the target VxRail cluster.
- Move to Configure and select the VxRail plug-in section.
- Choose the Support subsection and the Troubleshooting tab.
- Click Create.
- Select VxRail Manager logs.
NOTE: If hardware and or platform logs are also required, tick accordingly.
- Click Generate.
Collecting VxRail Manager log using command line:
If the vCenter UI is unavailable, logs can also be collected using the command line:
- Log in as mystic on the VxRail Manager using SSH
- Switch to the root user:
mystic@vxrail:-> su root
- Perform the command to generate a log bundle:
vxrail:/home/mystic # /mystic/generateLogBundle.py -v
- Once a log is generated, the path of the collection is printed on the screen.
- If the bundle creation fails, review
/var/log/mystic/dc.log. - Usually it puts the bundle in
/tmp/mystic/dc/.
