Symptoms
Alienware Area-51 R5 and R6 may show a U.2 fan speed of up to 2800+/-400RPM (Round per Minute) (2400 RPM to 3200 RPM). This is noticed in the Alienware Command Center or when running ePSA after the computer powers on.
Cause
This is not an issue or concern for these computers as this is working as designed.
Resolution
This is normal behavior per thermal solution design, and 2800 RPM is the minimum fan speed of a U.2 fan following Dell specifications.
