Announcement

The Dell BSAFE Product Team announces the general availability of Dell BSAFE Crypto-J 7.1.

Crypto-J 7.1 release includes, but is not limited to, the following changes:

  • Support for quantum resistant / post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) algorithms:
    • Module-Lattice-Based Digital Signature Algorithm (ML-DSA) as defined in FIPS 204.
    • HSS/LMS Signature verification as described in RFC 8554 section 6.3.
  • Support for Edwards-Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (EdDSA) as defined in RFC 8032.
  • Updates to improve product stability and security.

This release embeds the Dell BSAFE Crypto Module for Java 7.1 as its underlying validated FIPS 140-3 provider and is in Pending Validation status on NIST / CMVP Module In Process List at time of this announcement. See FIPS 140 status of BSAFE cryptographic modules for more details.
