Symptoms

Qualcomm laptops may not be able to find the PXE boot option and USB devices after resuming from the power cycle and booting to the F12 menu. The issue occurs when the computer is connected to WD22TB4 dock.

No PXE boot option and USB device on Qualcomm laptops

Cause

This is due to the Qualcomm platform design limitation. When platforms resume from power cycle (Cold boot, warm boot or hibernate), they send a Hard Reset, causing the dock Power Delivery entering wrong mode.
