Cause
This is a BIOS coding issue.
Resolution
Press the power button for more than 30 seconds to force shutdown the computer then power on again to recover from the issue.
Note: Before starting the update, perform the following:
- Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery.
- Ensure that power remains connected to the desktop.
For Dell Pro Max Slim FCS1250 and Dell Pro Max Tower T2 FCT2250
- Updating the BIOS version 1.1.2 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the BIOS, refer to the Dell BIOS and UEFI Update Download and Installation Guide.
For Dell Slim ECS1250, Dell Tower ECT1250, Dell Pro Tower Essential QVT1260 and Dell Pro Slim Essential QVS1260
- Updating the BIOS version 1.1.1 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the BIOS, refer to the Dell BIOS and UEFI Update Download and Installation Guide.
