Symptoms
Dell NVMe agnostic 7.68 TB Enterprise SSDs may be offered as a substitute for Dell Data Center NVMe SSDs for new build systems. Enterprise-grade drives offer a higher performance tier than Data Center drives and meet or exceed the performance requirements. Enterprise SSDs draw more power than data center SSDs due to the higher performance of the drive.
Cause
Due to supply constraints Dell Technologies may provide NVMe agnostic 7.68 TB Enterprise SSDs as a substitute for Data Center SSDs in new build systems.
Resolution
You may receive a NVMe Enterprise drive as a substitute for your NVMe Data Center drive in new build systems.
Note: Data Center and Enterprise NVMe SSDs can be placed in the same RAID-set. Where the Data Center and Enterprise NVMe SSDs are in the same RAID-set the Enterprise NVMe SSDs will perform at the Data Center speeds.
