Avamar: Come eseguire iperf tra due griglie Avamar per testare le prestazioni di throughput della rete

1. Accedere alla prima griglia Avamar ("iperf server") come admin ed eseguire il seguente comando: 

iperf3 -s -i 1 

2. Lasciare in esecuzione il comando precedente.

3. Accedere alla seconda griglia Avamar come ("iperf client") ed eseguire il seguente comando:

iperf3 -c <avamar-source-iperf-server> A -i 1

4. Lasciare che il comando venga eseguito per 10 secondi, quindi terminare con un CTRL-C.

Quando si eseguono i test su Avamar, il tentativo di connessione potrebbe andare in timeout se il firewall (avfirewall) il servizio è in esecuzione:

admin@ave-cow:~/>: iperf3 -c ave-moo -i 1

connect failed: Connection timed out

In questo caso, disabilitare temporaneamente il firewall su entrambe le griglie Avamar:

Per arrestare il servizio firewall, eseguire il seguente comando come root:

systemctl stop avfirewall 

Per riavviare il servizio firewall, eseguire il seguente comando come root:

systemctl start avfirewall
