Instructions

Question: The customer is asking regarding Audit log file replication through source and destination NAS servers, after failover occurs does the destination NAS server start to collect logs and updates the audit log file normally or not?

Answer: If replication between source and destination NAS servers done correctly "and I mean by correctly that all source files/paths have been replicated to destination" then destination NAS server would be able to collect auditing log files normally after failover.

Sometimes there is a limitation in audit log file size and NAS server uses another path for auditing. In this case we need to edit this path on destination or include its file system in the replication process for the audit log file to be replicated correctly.
