Symptoms
For Boot-From-San
Error on powering up the virtual machine:
An error was received from the ESX host while powering on VM NET_TEST-DB.
Failed to start the virtual machine.
Failed to power on VM.
Could not power on VM : msg.vmk.status.VMK_NO_SPACE.
Current swap file size is 0 KB.
Failed to extend swap file from 0 KB to *************** KB.
Cause
-- There is no space left in the boot LUN from which the virtual machine is booting.
Resolution
Storage End:
-- Verify the LUN from which VM is booting.
-- Expand the LUN size.
Server End:
-- Increase VMFS Datastore Capacity in the vSphere Client.
