O que acontece quando o Dell Security Management Server (antigo Dell Data Protection | Enterprise Edition) está sem licenças? O que o cliente deve fazer se ativar mais endpoints do que as licenças adquiridas?

É necessária uma licença para ativar o Dell Encryption (antigo Dell Data Protection | Criptografia) em relação a um Dell Security Management Server ou Dell Security Management Server Virtual (antigo Dell Data Protection | Edição Virtual). Se um produto exceder o número de licenças disponíveis, os clientes futuros não terão permissão para ativar. O servidor permite um excesso de licença de:

  • v7.0.X - servidor v7.5.X: 10%
  • v8.0.X e servidor posterior: 5%
Nota:
  • Um exemplo de excesso de 5%: O cliente A adquiriu e instalou 100 licenças para o Produto B. Isso permite que o Cliente A ative até 105 máquinas com o software do Produto B.
  • Dispositivos ativados incorretamente como Windows: Credant Edition em vez do Windows: Dell Edition, mostrando o Windows: O consumo da licença do Credant Edition é corrigido no escudo 7.2.3. Atualizando clients para uma versão posterior e executando um WSDeactivate Resolve automaticamente essa discrepância.

Quando o servidor está sem licenças, há uma notificação do Painel de indicadores.
