Resolution
Issue: Endpoints running Dell Encryption Enterprise or Dell Encryption Personal using Thunderbolt dock TB16 may experience delays during boot, or an operating system failure resulting in an unexpected reboot.
- Resolution: Update the
ASMediadriver to 1.16.51.1 or later, this drive is available from dell.comsupport on the TB16’s drivers and downloads page. Support for Dell Thunderbolt Dock TB16.
Issue: Endpoints running Dell Data Security using Thunderbolt dock TB16 may cause Blue Screen when transitioning between the S1 and S3 (this is the state between sleep [S1] and hibernate [s3]) power state.
- Resolution: This issue is resolved with Dell Encryption Enterprise or Dell Encryption Personal v8.16 or later.
Issue: Endpoints running Dell Data Security using Thunderbolt dock TB16 may cause Blue Screen when transitioning between the S1 and S3 power state due to the ASIMedia Driver.
- Resolution: This has been resolved on Dell hardware with the latest BIOS version. For non-Dell hardware, upgrade to the latest BIOS version. If issue persists, reach out to Dell ProSupport for further assistance.
Issue: Endpoints running Dell Data Security may stop responding during POST when connected to Thunderbolt dock TB16.
- Resolution: This is resolved in 8.17.2 and later.
Issue: Thunderbolt dock TB16 may not present USB ports or network adapter connectivity to host Operating System post Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA).
- Resolution: This is resolved in 8.18.0 and later.
