Resolution

Silverlight must be enabled to resolve the issue within Chrome.

Version 39-41

Note: Versions 39, 40 and 41 do not automatically allow plug-ins.

Follow the steps below to enable:

  1. Type chrome://flags/#enable-npapi This opens some advanced Chrome settings and select the option that you must enable.

  2. Click the Enable link at the bottom of the Enable NPAPI entry.
  3. You must now restart Chrome so this takes effect. Ensure that you close all the open Chrome tabs before you restart Chrome.
    After Chrome Restarts:
  4. Type chrome://plugins in the address bar.
  5. Look for Silverlight. If it is disabled, it appears as gray and show an Enable link.

  6. If you do not see Silverlight as an option, you must restart your computer to ensure that Chrome has applied your earlier changes; or Silverlight may not be installed.
  7. Once Silverlight is enabled, you can access Dell Data Protection | Enterprise Edition Management Console.

Version 42

To enable Silverlight, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Google Chrome Browser.
  2. In the URL bar in the upper right of your page, Click the Red X icon.
  3. Select Always allow plug-ins.
  4. Click Done.
