HDX Enlightened Data Transport (EDT) was added in Wyse ThinOS 9. This article provides four methods to validate which communication protocol is active.
- Command Prompt
netstat- CtxSession.exe
- HDX Monitor
- Citrix Director
Citrix Enlightened Data Transport (EDT) is the preferred option for XenApp and XenDesktop data transport. EDT is built on top of the User Datagram Protocol (UDP). The transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is the dynamic fallback. It may be necessary to validate the protocol used by EDT. Validation confirms that EDT is active and data is transferring using UDP ports 1494 and 2598.
