How to Hide Overlay Icons Dell Encryption

The solution to hide the overlay icons depends on the version of Dell Encryption client and server being used.

For users running the v8.10.1 or later client that is paired with a v9.4.1 or later server, this setting can be controlled using the Hide Overlay Icons policy. Hide Overlay Icons is found in the policy-based encryption section of the Administration Console.

Dell Encryption v7.1.0 and earlier:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\CREDANT\CmgShellExt\DWORD: HideOverlayIcons

Set this DWORD Value to 1 in order to hide the icons.

Dell Encryption v7.2.0 and Later:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\CREDANT\CMGShield DWORD: HideOverlayIcons
Set this DWORD value to 1 in order to hide the icons
