Resolution
Version 9.1 of the server software introduced a new Core Server setting MinimumCheckinTime. This setting allows BitLocker Manager and SED clients to check in with inventory at most once every x number of minutes.
The setting is found in these locations for their respective server versions:
- Windows-based application of Dell Data Protection | Encryption Enterprise Server:
C:\Program Files\Dell\Enterprise Edition\Core Server\AgentServiceObjects.config
- Linux based appliance of Dell Data Protection | Encryption Virtual Edition Server:
/opt/dell/server/core-server/AgentServiceObjects.config
The default value is 720 minutes (12 hours) in v9.1 and earlier and 120 minutes (2 hours) from v9.2 and later, this causes the server to reject inventories from machines that have checked in within the last 12/2 hours.
