Installing Your Wireless SIM Card and Activating Your Mobile Broadband Service

1. Installing Your SIM Card and Activating Your Mobile Broadband Service.

To install the SIM card:

1. Turn your computer over.
   NOTE: The SIM card slot location varies by computer model. See your computer’s documentation for location and access instructions.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Insert the SIM card into the slot available in the battery bay. (see note above that you ensure exactly where your SIM card slot is located. While MOST are in the battery bay, yours may be located in a different place on your computer.)
4. Replace the battery.

2. Connect to Your Network

Windows 8/8.1

1. Select Settings from the Charms Menu Bar and select Change PC settings. (See Figure 1.)

2. In the PC Settings tab, select Network. (See Figure 2.)

3. In the Network tab, select your Mobile Broadband Carrier. (See Figure 3.)

4. In the Mobile Broadband Carrier tab, note the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) and the Integrated Circuit Card Identifier (ICCID). (See Figure 4.)

5. MEID (Mobile Equipment Identifier) which is the IMEI without the last digit.

To connect to the network, go to network settings and connect to the network carrier displayed.

1. Select the Network icon from the taskbar and then select Cellular. The Cellular page displays. (See figure 1.)

2. Select your Mobile Broadband Carrier to expand the options.(See figure 2.)

4. Make a note of the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) and the Integrated Circuit Card Identifier (ICCID).(See figure 4.)
