Symptoms

在特定情況下，使用 Aquantia NIC 卡的工作站在傳統開機模式中，可能不會載入所有選項 ROM。Aquantia 2.5G/5G NIC 卡 （DPN#s 版本 A02：PPT48、8YMW6） 的傳統選項 ROM 大小從 6 KB 增加到 42 KB。

此問題是 Aquantia 版本 1.5.89 特有的問題，會影響下列系統：

  • Precision T3620
  • Precision 5820
  • 直立式 Precision 7820
  • 直立式 Precision 7920

Cause

舊版 BIOS 模式用於載入 Option ROM 的記憶體容量有限。當要載入的選項 ROM 總和超過舊版 BIOS 的記憶體限制時，無法載入額外的選項 ROM。因此，使用 Aquantia NIC 卡時，某些選項 ROM 可能不會在舊版開機模式中載入。

Resolution

因應措施：
  • 使用 UEFI 開機模式，而非傳統模式。
  • 如果需要傳統開機，請停用對您的組態不重要的其他開機選項。只保持啟用必要的開機選項，以最大化可用記憶體空間。
