Start your PC.
For Windows Vista and Windows 7 tap the F8 key as the computer starts, until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen and carry on through the remaining steps.
If these steps do not work for you, please see section 1 question 1 again. Otherwise continue with this guide.
Press the DOWN ARROW cursor key to select Repair Your Computer on the Advanced Boot Options menu and then press the ENTER key.
Specify the language settings that you want and then click Next.
Log in as a user who has administrative rights and then click OK.
Click Dell Factory Image Restore.
In the Dell Factory Image Restore window click Next.
Click to select the check box for Yes to re-format the hard drive and restore the system software to the way you received it from the factory.
Click Next. The computer is restored to the way it shipped.
When the restore operation is completed click Finish to restart the computer.
At this point you setup the system as if it was brand new. If the issue that caused you to do the restore continues at that point, get in touch with your Technical Support.
